P&G Wins Special Appreciation Award for Supporting Project Hope

Nov 19, 2009 Beijing P&G won the Special Appreciation Award for Supporting Project Hope, at its 20th anniversary conference held by Central Committee of the Communist Young League and China Youth Development Foundation (CYDF).

As a review of achievement by Project Hope in the past 20 years, the Special Appreciation Awards for Supporting Project Hope are the highest honors to enterprises and individuals that have made outstanding contribution to the Project Hope. Award candidates were recommended by CYDF and its provincial branches, and the awards were given to a total 100 enterprises or individuals.


P&G Wins Special Appreciation Award for Supporting Project Hope

P&G Global External Relations Officer Chris Hassall, who is an old friend of the Project Hope, went to attend the event from P&G Headquarter in Cincinnati. He extended P&G’s warm congratulations to the 20th anniversary of Project Hope, and spoke highly of the significant co-effort of P&G and CYDF since 1996.

P&G has donated CNY 53 million to the Project Hope since 1996, and joined hands with business partners and P&G employees to build 180 Hope Schools among 28 provinces and autonomous regions around China. It is the enterprise that donated to build most Hope Schools in China, and helped more than 100 thousand children in poor areas to have opportunities to study.
