P&G Again honored Top 10 in “Ranking of the World’s Top 500 Company’s Contribution in China”

On December 30th, the Southern Weekend released “Ranking of the World’s Top 500 Company’s Contribution in China” . P&G was honored 1st position in the FMCG sector for four consecutive years, and 8th position in all sectors, for its unremitting efforts and contribution to the society. It was also ranked 2nd in the Corporate Philanthropy in China sub list.

The ranking, initiated by the Southern Weeend with numerous organizations including the Institute of the Chinese Corporations on Social Responsibility, is one of the most profound honor in corporate social responsibility. With the theme of "Global Vision, Chinese Position" , it aims to generally research and evaluate the social responsibility of the world’s top 500 companies.

During the six-month evaluation, business performance, contribution to the local communities, social responsibility, corporate reputation in China, and more were benchmarked and generally surveyed, involving professional research team, authorized consultants, third party statistics, questionnaire and survey within regulatory bodies.

As a corporate citizen, P&G takes on social responsibility with sustainability, and devote its strength in environment, philanthropy, and the society. Not limited in providing quality products and services, P&G reduces environmental footprint via emission reduction programs, and won the honor of China Green Gold Award and the Green Company title. Regarding to the corporate social responsibility area, P&G has donate funds and goods over 0.2 billion RMB in Chinese charity business and has built 200 Hope Schools in 28 provinces, helping more than 150,000 children learn, live and thrive by 18th, June. 2010.
