Pampers collaborates with PARKnSHOP for the third year to build temporary home with eternal love for foster children

Every year in Hong Kong, thousands of children are placed in residential child care services temporarily due to the difficulties and challenges faced by their families of origin, and foster families are the most ideal arrangement. Foster families provide temporary care for children, supporting their mental and physical development until they can return home, be adopted or live independently. For the third year, P&G Hong Kong's Pampers collaborates with PARKnSHOP to launch the "Onward Foster Moms" campaign, which not only continues to combine the joint efforts of consumers, but also works with 11 foster care service organizations in Hong Kong to support nearly 800 foster families through charity donations. This year, artist Sammi Cheng also made a short video to support the campaign, calling for the community's attention to the needs of foster children.

Pampers invites the public to create more loving havens for foster children

Pampers is committed to the healthy development of every baby, and from 2021 onwards, it has been partnering with PARKnSHOP and 11 foster care service organizations to launch the "Onward Foster Moms" campaign to help the public better understand the needs of foster children, learn more about what foster care is and recruit more people to become foster parents. This year, Sammi Cheng, who has long been concerned about the issue of foster families, was invited to make a short video to call for more families to join the foster care so that more children in need can have a temporary caring and loving home during their vulnerable period.

To further support foster families, from May 12 to June 8, for every purchase of Pampers products over $899 at PARKnSHOP.com, Pampers and PARKnSHOP will donate an "Onward Foster Mom's Kit" to foster families and a one-month supply of Pampers diapers for foster children under 3 years old, so that foster babies can continue to feel loved and grow up healthy and happy while waiting to return home.

“A temporary home and eternal love" - Foster care is a journey of shared happiness

Babies are placed in foster families for periods ranging from one or two months to several years. Although only a temporary home, the selfless care and companionship of the foster family allows the baby to build attachments and feel loved during the critical period of development, and to grow up healthy and happy in a warm family environment until they can reunite with their families of origin, be arranged for an adoption family, or become independent. Even after leaving the foster family, the baby can still take on the next stage of his or her life journey with a lot of love.

On the other hand, although taking care of foster children is a difficult mission, foster families often build a sweet bond with these children and enrich their hearts in the process. Anita, a foster mom with more than three years of experience in foster care, says that the family's dedication to caring for foster children has made the family more unified and harmonious. Through the bridge of foster care service, foster parents and foster children become not just temporary family members, the journey shared also creates positive outcomes for both the family and the children.
